Argus Bay provides comprehensive knowledge of the waterways, enabling a new level of safety monitoring and monetisation of maritime activities.
It detects, monitors, classifies and counts activities within coverage areas, assisting a number of blue economy companies and organizations to manage the waterways of interest to them.
AIS and Radar based systems are limited in what they can see.
Most monitoring systems rely on AIS, however 70-80% of vessels don’t have AIS, and even the ones that do can be spoofed or turned off. Radar, besides being costly, can’t identify vessels.
Slip management is manual and error-prone
Marina slip management is done manually and only a few times per day. This leads to operational costs as well as reducing income opportunities
Marine Protected Area monitoring
Restrictions on access and vessel categories to marine protected are many times unenforceable due to lack of means to monitor them continuously.
Waterway safety
Most waterway accidents involve violations of navigation rules. Enforcing these rules is critical for safety.
Permit enforcement
Many waterway permits and restrictions are difficult or impossible to enforce without constant patrolling, which is costly.
Difficult planning
Planning improved use and regulations of waterways is not data driven, given the poor availability of data on utilisation of waterways.

Channel Manager can monitor defined channels for an assortment of conditions. Example conditions include:

Permit Manager controls anchored/moored vessels, enabling the enforcement of permits and/or mooring restrictions. With it, operators can place time of day restrictions on anchoring, or verify that utilisation is within defined constraints such as a 2 hour limit on a slip.
